Sew Russia: Trash Recipe

Hello! Hello! Hello!

My husband cooked this dish a while ago that I nicknamed “Trash”. It is anything but trash. It tastes REALLY good. It’s just a while bunch of ingredients thrown together. We use to eat it all the time. I am getting back into it! Even my daughter loves this dish.
Here is what you willneed:

  • Salt & pepper
  • Garlic
  • Onion
  • Bell pepper
  • Chicken breast (Fish works too)
  • Red Potatoes or rotini noodles (this is optional)
  • Olive oil or coconut oil
  • A bag of vegetable blend

First you want to steam your vegetables or boil your noodles. These take longer to cook down than the other items.

Here is the vegtable blend bag that I used. It’s called California Blend and it is available at Wal-Mart. You can always use the blend that you like.

Next cut up your chicken breast into small pieces and add salt and pepper to it.

Cut up your onion, bell pepper, and add  your minced garlic.

Here is the minced garlic that I use when I don’t chop it up myself.

Then you want to oil your pan with Olive oil. Here is the Olive oil that I use.

Sauteé your bellpeper, onion, and garlic in one pan. Cook your chicken pieces in another pan. Olive oil should be in each pan.

Your vegetables should be cooked down.

Mix all of the ingredients together in a pan and VOILA! You have dinner or lunch. You can definitely us this as a meal prep!

Sew Russia: Simple Literally Less Than 5 Minutes Yogurt and Granola Mix

Hello everyone!

I love granola. It is one of the best good items ever! I used this Oats and Honey flavor by Nature Valley. Its quite tasty.

Pour your yogurt in a cup.

Add the granola in a…VOILA! You have breakfast or snack.

Sew Russia:Better Than Store Bought DIY Bacon, Egg and Cheese Crossiant

    Hello everyone!

How was your weekend? Here in Louisiana were still recovong from the flooding that occured. No worries. Everything will work out in everyone’s favor. I have faith that it will be so!

I am excited to share this bacon, egg, and cheese crossiant breakfast sandwich reciepe with you. It is yummy yummy! I promise you will never want to buy store bought again! My daughter is a VERY picky eater and even she wanted seconds!

This would be a great meal prep idea as well. You can pair it with a fruit of your choice and water bottle to drink. It is easy to make and easy to pack.
Well enough of trying to convince you. Lets get started!

Here is what you will need:

    • Pilbury crossaints
    • Carton of eggs
    • Your favorite cheese
    • Prepakaged bacon or you can cook from scratch
    • Salt & pepper

Here is your Pillsbury brand crossaints.

Crack and sramble you eggs, adding salt and pepper.

Choose your choice of cheese. The majority likes shredded. I like the Taco Bell Nacho cheese taste. It has more flavor in my opinion. If you don’t like cheese you can omit this step.

You want to use the soft prepackaged bacon. This should be in the same aisle as the salad dressing and next to the crutons. If you have time you can cook your bacon from scratch and chop it up.

Cook your eggs. I have this omelet device that helps make my eggs more fluffy. To get fluffier eggs you can scramble your eggs on low heat.

      Lightly cook your bacon.

Next you want to load your crossiants. It’s not pictured here, but you add your cheese on last.

Next you roll those bad boys up and bake until your crossiants have a light brown tint.

Here is the finished product! So yummy you won’t want store bought again, and it’s very cost effective. You literally get more bang for your buck.

If you try the recipe leave a comment on how it turned out!

      Happy cooking!

Sew Russia: Food and Cooking-Super Easy Omelette/IHop Imitation Country Omelete

I am in love with the country omelets from IHop. I literally order it every time I go and have for years!

Omelettes can be one of the easiest, healthiest, and quickest meals to make.

      What is the country omelette?

It is a mixture of eggs, ham pieces, onions, hash browns (I always ask for these on the side instead of in the omelette), and bell peppers (I ask that this be added).

Today I am going to show you how to make it from home. The amount shown can actually be for two, or if you want to cut it into pieces for meal prepping purposes…that is an option as well.

      Ok…Let’s get started!

You will need to whip out your ingredients.

      You will need:

      • Ham
      • Shredded cheese
      • Butter
      • Eggs
      • Season All or Salt & Pepper
      • Bell Peppers
      • Onions

Feel free to adjust the ingreditents to your liking.

I also want to add that IHop also stuffs their country omelette with shredded hash browns. I omitted this. I normally like my hash browns on the side anyway.

Here in Louisiana we LOVE Morton Season All. That, and of course Tony Chachere’s seasoning. Nothing can pry us away from our seasoning besides the doctor telling us it is vital to do so! Lol

Cut up your onion and bell pepper.

Honestly, this was my first time making an omelette in my new gadget, and I kind of discovered I over did it with  five eggs. This is perfect if you want left overs. You could totally do a meal prep with that amount. If not, about 2-3 eggs will do.

Add a dash of seasoning or salt & pepper.

      Scramble your eggs.

Remember that “new gadget” I mentioned earlier? Well! Here it is! I found this omelette maker at Kitchen Collection located at the Tanger Outlet in Gonzales, LA. I think I paid around $10.00 for this.

This store has a lot of neat things. I have purchased a couple of other items from this store that I plan on sharing also.

      Melt your butter.

Mix you eggs and other ingredients in and let your omelette cook on both sides.

The omlette maker closes shut so it is great for flipping your omelette over.

After letting it cook…viloa! You are done.

You are now ready to eat. Yum. Yum.
